CHAP. 1 An ACT making an appropriation for repressing hostilities

commenced by the Seminole Indians.

[SEC. 1.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre-

sentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

That the sum of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars be $120,000 appre

and the same hereby is, appropriated, out of any money in the

Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to defray the expenses

attending the suppression of hostilities with the Seminole Indians

in Florida, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary

of War, conformably to the provisions of the act of April fifth,

eighteen hundred and thirty-two, making appropriations for the

support of the army.

CHAP. 2 An ACT to authorize the allowance of certain charges in the
accounts of the American consul at London.

[SEC. 1.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen-

tatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

That the proper accounting officers of the Treasury be, and

the same hereby are, authorized and directed in settling the

Mounts of the American consul at London, to continue Allowance for

the allowance for clerk hire, office rent, stationery, fuel, and be continued.

Other miscellaneous expenses from the first day of April, in the

year one thousand eight hundred and thirty-five and until

otherwise provided for by law, in like manner as the same

have heretofore usually been allowed, in settling the accounts
