PURSUANT to the fourteenth section of the first article of the Con-
stitution of the State of New-York, designating the first Tuesday in
January in each year for the time of meeting of the Legislature, his
Honor ADDISON GARDINER, Lieutenant-Governor, and the following
Senators from the eight Senate districts of this State, appeared in the
