The entertaining sketches in the chapters "How I Got There," "Table Talk," "The Wagon," "The Barber Shop," "A Colorado Blizzard," "The Dark Side" and "At Christmas Time," furnish an excellent background for the delicate portrayal of the joys, sorrows, hopes and regrets of the residents of this printers' retreat.
