"An act concerning the commercial intercourse between the United States and Great Britain and France, and their dependencies, and for other purposes;"

"An act making further appropriations for com. pleting the capitol, and for other purposes;"

"An act making appropriations for carrying into effect certain Indian treaties;"

"An act for the relief of Arthur St. Clair;" "An act for the relief of P. C. L'Enfant;" and "An act allowing compensation to Robert Robinson," and had found the same to be truly enrolled: When,

Mr. Speaker signed the said bills.

Ordered, That the Clerk of this House do acquaint the Senate therewith.

The House proceeded to consider the resolution from the Senate to appoint a joint committee to wait on the President and acquaint him of the proposed recess of Congress, and the same being read at the Clerk's table, was concurred in by the House.

Ordered, That Mr. Crawford and Mr. Roane be the committee on the part of this House.

Mr. Crawford, from the joint committee for enrolled bills, reported, that the committee had presented to the President of the United States, for his ap probation, several enrolled bills, entitled as follows:

"An act authorizing a loan of money for a sum not exceeding the amount of the principal of the public debt reimbursable during the year one thusand eight hundred and ten;"

"An act confirming the decisions of the commissioners in favor of the claimants of land in the district of Kaskaskia;"

"An act further to alter and amend "An act providing for the third census, or enumeration of the inhabitants of the United States;"

"An act fixing the compensati n of public ministers and of consuls residing on the coast of Barbary, and for other purposes;"

"An act to erect a light house at the entrance of Scituate harbor; a stone column on a spit of land at the entrance of Boston harbor, and a beacon on Beach point, near Plymouth harbor, in the state of Massachusetts; a light at the entrance of Bayou St. John, into lake Pontchartrain, and two lights on lake Erie, and for beacons and bouys near the entrance of Beverly harbor;"

"An act for the relief of William W. Weymouth, and Joseph P. Weeks;"

"An act concerning the commercial intercourse between the United States and Great Britain and

France, and their dependencies, and for other purposes;"

"An act making further appropriations for completing the capitol, and for other purposes;"

"An act making appropriations for carrying into eff et certain Indian treaties ;"

"An act for the relief of Arthur St. Clair;" "An act for the relief of P. C. L'Enfant ;" and "An act allowing compensation to Robert Robin

son."

On motion of Mr. Nelson,

Resolved, That the Clerk of this House be authorized to pay out of the contingent fuad of the House to Thomas Claxton, junior, and James Caxton, the sum of one hundred dollars each, for their services during the present session.

On motion of Mr. Findley,

Resolved, That the Clerk of this House be directed to pay out of the contingent fund of the House to John Philips, Elextius Spalding, John B. Barm in, Richard Stewart, Thomas White and George Coop

cr, the sum of fifty dollars each, in addition to their usual compensation.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr. Otis, their Secretary, notifying that the President of the United States had approved and signed the fullowing acts:

"An act to extend the time for making payment for the public lands of the United States, in certain

cases;"

“An act in addition to an act, entitled "An act concerning the library for the use of both Houses of Congress;"

"An act allowing compensation to Robert Robin

son;"

"An act fixing the compensation of public ministers and of consuls residing on the coast of Barbary, and for other purposes;" and

"An act to erect a 1 ght house at the entrance of Scituate harbor, a stone column on a spit of land at the entrance of Boston harbor, and a beacon on Beach point, near Plymouth harbor, in the state of Massachusetts; a light at the entrance of Bayou St. John, into lake Pontchartrain, and two lights on lake Erie, and for beacons and Buoys near the entrance of Beverly harbor."

A message was received from the President of the United States, by Mr. Coles, his Secretary, notifying that the President had approved and signed the following acts:

"An act regulating the post-office establishment;" "An act providing for the sale of certain linds in the Indiana territory, and for other purposes;"

"An act authorizing a loan of money for a sum not exceeding the amount of the principl of the public debt, reimbursable during the year one thousand eight hundred and ten;"

"An act confirming the decisions of the commissioners in favor of the claimants of land in the district of Kaskaskia ;"

"An act further to alter and amend "An act providing for the third census or enumeration of the inhabitants of the United States;"

"An act for the relief of William W. Weymouth and Joseph P. Weeks;"

"An act concerning the commercial intercourse between the United States and Great Britain and France, and their dependencies, and for other purposes;"

A message from the Senate by Mr. Otis, their Secretary.

Mr. Speaker: The Senate having completed the legislative business before them are ready to adjourn: And then he withdrew.

Mr. Crawford, from the joint committee to wait on the President of the United States, and inform him of the poposed recess of Congress, reported, that the committee had performed that service, and that the President informed them that he had no further communication to make to Congress during the present

session.

Ordered, That a messige be sent to the Senate to inform them that this House are now ready to adjourn, and that the Clerk do go with the said message.

The Clerk accordingly went with the said message; and being returned,

The Speaker adjourned the House until the first Monday in December next.
