The Senate bill (No. 1301, Int. No. 115) entitled "An act to amend the Code of Civil Procedure, in relation to the time for the service of pleadings and papers by mail," was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calenGar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said bill to the Assembly and request their concurrence therein.

The Senate bill (No. 1421, Int. No. 596) entitled "An act to mend the Penal Law, in relation to pool-selling, book-making, bets and wagers," having been reached upon the third reading calendar, Mr. Agnew moved to reconsider the vote by which said I was amended on May 3d.

Mr. Grady made the point of order that, said bill having been amended yesterday and not having been printed and upon the ks of the Senators for three legislative days, the same cannot no v be called by the Clerk for consideration of the Senate.

The President decided the point of order not well taken, holding that, the bill being now in the possession of the Senate and the Senate being in the order of third reading of bills, in which said bill now is, such a motion is in order whenever the said bill is reached in its regular order upon the calendar.

Mr. Grady moved that the motion to reconsider be laid upon the table until Monday night.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion to lay upon the table, and it was decided in the negative, as follows:
