The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause, and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon such person, and the name of such person as follows: 1872. July 17. Nelson Boyea, at Chateaugay, killed by crossing track in front of freight train; the man appeared bewildered; engine cut off both legs. March 14. Wilbur H. Chapin, a baggage master, was killed at Ogdensburgh; was acting as forward brakeman, having cut his train. from the engine, as was customary, the engine switching off, and the train passing on, he failed to break up, and the platform struck the tender; he dropped under the train and was killed. July 20. John Clemon, killed at or near Wood Fall; lying on the track drunk. May 23. George H. Taylor, brakemen; arm broke at Brandy Brook. October 31.
