SHERIFF'S BOND.

Know all men by these presents, that we, A B and C D, all of the county of Wake and State of North Carolina, are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and each of our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, as witness, our hands and seals, this tenth day of August, 1852.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas, the above bounden A B has been heretofore elected Sheriff of the county of Wake and State aforesaid, and has been declared by the Court to have received a majority of the votes, and the Court doth require him to renew his bond annually, as Sheriff: Now if the said A B shall well and truly execute, and due return make, of all process and precepts to him directed, and pay - and satisfy all fees and sums of money by him received or levied by virtue of any process to him directed, into the proper office by which the same, by tenor thereof, ought to be paid, or to the person or persons to whom the same shall be due, his, her, or their executors, administrators, attorneys or agents; and in all other things well, truly and faithfully execute the said office of Sheriff during his continuance therein, from the first Mon

day of August, 1852, until the first Monday of August, 1854, and in all things execute the duties of Sheriff according to law, then the above obligation to be null and void; otherwise, to remain in full force and virtue.

FORM OF BONDS OF CLERK OF THE COUNTY COURT.

State of North Carolina,}

Know all men by these presents, that we, G H and I J, all of the County of Orange aforesaid, are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of dollars,

to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, administrators and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this third day of March, A. D. 1851.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden G H, hath heretofore been appointed Clerk of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, for the County of Orange aforesaid. Now if the said G H, shall return annually to the Comptroller attested copies of the amount of taxable property, and number of polls subject to tax in said County, as required by law, then the above obligation to be void: otherwise to remain in full force and effect.

State of North Carolina,} At first Term 1851.

I, RS, Presiding Magistrate of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for said County, certify, that the above obligors acknowledged in open Court the execution of the same. P. Magistrate.

Know all men by these presents, that we, G H and IJ, all of the County of Orange aforesaid, are held and firmly bound

unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of

dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs, adminstrators and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this third day of March, A. D. 1851.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden G H, hath heretofore been appointed Clerk of the County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for Orange County: Now if the said G H, shall faithfully keep the records and papers belonging to the said office, pay over to all persons, such sum or sums of money as may be paid into his office for them as Clerk aforesaid, account for and pay over all tax fees on suits as provided by law, and in all things do and execute the several duties of said office as required by law, then the above obligation to be void; otherwise, to remain in full force and effect.

I, R S, Presiding Magistrate of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County aforesaid, certify, that the obligors to the above bond came into open court and acknowledged the execution of the same.

BOND OF A COUNTY TRUSTEE.

Wake County.

Know all men by these presents, that we, A B and C D, are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the full and just sum of dollars, to be paid to the said State, for the use of the County of Wake, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and our heirs, executors,

&c., jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this tenth day of August, 1852.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden A B has, at this present Term of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, been by the Court appointed County Trustee for our said County of Wake, for one year next ensuing. Now if the above bounden A B, shall well and truly collect all county moneys that are or may become due during the ensuing year, and pay over the same to the proper vouchers issued by the County Court of Wake, and to the persons entitled to receive it, then the above obligation shall be null and void: otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

Know all men by these presents that we, A B and C D, are held and firmly bound unto D R, Governor of the State of North Carolina aforesaid, and his successors in office, in the sum of dollars, to be paid to the said D R, Governor aforesaid, and his successors in office, to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns, this fifth day of July, A. D., 1852.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the said A B, hath been appointed Coroner for the County of Wake, now if the said A B shall well and truly execute, and due return make of all process and precepts to him directed, by virtue of his office of Coroner aforesaid, and hold all inquests to him directed to be held, and in all things perform the duties of said office so long as he shall continue therein, agreeably to Acts of Assembly in such case made and provided, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

BOND OF A COUNTY SURVEYOR.

Orange

Know all men by these presents, that we, A B and C D, all of the County of Orange, are held and firmly bound unto G H, chairman of the County Court of Orange, or his successors in office, in the sum of dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, to him the said G H, chairman, &c., and his successors aforesaid, and we bind ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators, this sixth day of June, A. D., 1852.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden A B, hath this day been appointed County Surveyor for the County of Orange; if therefore, the said A B, shall well and faithfully execute the duties of said office of County Surveyor during his continuance in said office, agreeably to the requirements of the law, then the above obligation to be void: otherwise to remain in full force and virtue,
