We are obliged to defer the insertion of several original articles of Poetry to a future Number, among which is the conclusion of the Robber of Esterhal. The Tale of Laura Somers must also be postponed till next month. Letters of Curran to the Rev. H. Weston, a Volume of Pastorals, the Novel of Zeal and Experience, with other new publications, shall meet with that attention their various merits demand, as early as possible. It is again requested that all new publications sent for our notice should be addressed to the Reviewer, who has only received A History of France, by a Lady, from Mr. Jamieson; which, from the pressure of miscellaneous and light kind of reading already sent for our notice this spring, must be deferred, in order to do it justice, to our yearly review, or SUPPLEMENTARY Number. The author of A Treatise on Prisons, will find that we have not been unmindful of him; but when such praise is sent us without our seeing the work, it is usually expected such eulogium should be paid for: our reviewer is generally indulgent, particularly to works calculated to promote general utility. Persons who reside abroad, and who wish to be supplied with this Work every month, as published, may have it sent to them to New York, Halifax, Quebec, and to any part of the West Indies, by Mr. THORNHILL, of the General Post Office, at No. 21, Sherborne-lane; to the Brazils, Madeira, Gibraltar, Malta, and all parts of the Mediterranean; to Russin, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal; and to France and Holland, at 178 6d. per Quarter, by Mr. Cowie, at the Foreign Newspaper Office, No. 22, Sherborne-lane.
