Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. H. D. Williams (No. 1389, Int. No. 1259) entitled "An act making an appropriation for repairing the Delta dam, on the Mohawk river," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 49) entitled "An act making an appropriation for the extension and improvement of existing State parks and the establishment of new State parks and parkways in order to create a comprehensive and unified State park system for the promotion of the recreation, instruction and health of the people, to carry

out the provisions of chapter six hundred and two of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty-four, and providing the methods for the acquisition of land for such purposes," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Hewitt (No. 1464, Int. No. 1317) entitled "An act making appropriations from the sinking funds of the State for the payment of interest on the State debt, reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Fearon (No. 1084, Int. No. 1022) entitled "An act making appropriation to the State Fair Commission for expenditures incurred for materials and supplies during the year ending December thirty-first, nineteen hundred and twenty-four," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to.

On motion of Mr. Hewitt, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading.

No. 1298) entitled "An act to repeal a reappropriation of the year nineteen hundred and twenty-four for carrying out the provisions of chapter four hundred and fifty-nine of the Laws of nineteen hundred and nineteen, relating to war contracts, to the extent of the unexpended, unobligated balance of such reappropriation,” reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 1187) entitled "An act to authorize the Attorney-General to employ counsel to recover from the United States the cost of maintenance and care of alien immigrants," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the Assembly bill introduced by Mr. Cooke (No. 446, Rec. No. 211) entitled "An act to authorize the Commissioners of the Land Office to grant and convey to the city of Buffalo all the right, title and interest of the people of the State of New York in and to the lands heretofore set aside by the Commissioners of the Land Office for the third division of the third battalion of the naval militia at Buffalo, New York, in exchange for lands of approximately similiar area at Buffalo, New York, to be set aside for the use of said third division of the third battalion of the naval militia upon the approval of the State Board of Armory Commissioners," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 293) entitled "An act to amend the Conservation Law and the Public Lands Law, in relation to the membership of the State Council of Parks, determining the jurisdiction, control and management of certain State parks and parkways, and creating the central New York State Parks Commission and the Taconic State Park Commission," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 276) entitled "An act to amend the Conservation Law, in relation to the taking of shellfish from the waters of the marine district," reported in favor of the passage of the same with amendments, which report was agreed to and said bill ordered reprinted and committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 933) entitled "An act providing for the sale of certain lands belonging to the State in the city of Cortland, held for the use of the Cortland State Normal and Training School," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 239) entitled "An act to amend chapter one hundred and forty-four of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty-three, entitled 'An act to provide for the construction by the State of buildings for a hospital unit at Kings Park, exclusively for the care and treatment of discharged soldiers, sailors and marines of the World War from the State of New York who suffer from mental diseases, and making an appropriation therefor, in relation to changing the name of such hospital," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.
