COMMANDS.

God now commandeth all men every where to repent.-Acts xvii. 30.

Repent ye and believe the gospel.—Mark i. 15. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.-1 John iii. 23.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.-John xiii. 34.

This we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.-2 Thess. iii. 10.

I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.-Matt. vi. 44.

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.-Rom. xii. 14, 17, 18. Let all your things be done with charity.— 1 Cor. xvi. 14.

Let all things be done unto edifying.-1 Cor. xiv. 26.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.— 1 Cor. xi. 31.

EVIDENCES.

If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.-2 Cor. v. 17.

Behold he prayeth.-Acts ix. 11.

Every man that hath heard and learned of the Father, cometh unto me.-John vi. 45.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.-John iii. 36.

Whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.-Acts x. 43.

Joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth.-Luke xv. 7.

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious.-I Peter ii. 7.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.-1 John iii. 14.

As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.-Rom. viii. 14.

If ye continue in my words, then are ye my disciples indeed.-John viii. 31.

Whom the Lord loveth he correcteth.-Prov. iii. 12.

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.-Rom. x. 9.

PROMISES:

Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver, and thou shalt glorify me.-Ps. 1. 15. He shall deliver thee in six troubles; yea, in seven shall no evil touch thee.-Job. v. 17.

Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. -Isai. xli. 10.

The God of peace shall bruise satan under your feet shortly.-Rom. xvi. 20.

My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness.-2. Cor. xii. 9.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.— Isai. xl. 29.

I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.-2. Cor. vi. 17, 18.

God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.-Phil. iv. 19. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.— Isai. liv. 17.

EXHORTATIONS.

Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure.-2 Pet. i. 10.

I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.-Rom. xii. 1, 2.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love. -Ephes. iv. 1, 2.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; having your conversation honest among the Gentiles; that whereas they speak against you as evil doers, they may by your good works which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.-1 Pet. ii. 11, 12. And exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.-Acts xi. 23.

Exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.-Acts xiv. 22.

WARNINGS.

Be not high-minded, but fear.-Rom. xi. 26. Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.-1 Cor. x. 12.

Brethren, be not weary in well doing.2 Thess. iii. 13.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.-Heb. iii. 12.

Take ye heed, watch and pray; for ye know not when the time is.-Mark xiii. 33.

Take heed and beware of coveteousness.Luke xii. 15.

Take heed that ye be not deceived.—Luke xxi. 8.

If God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.-Rom. xi. 21. Take heed regard not iniquity.-Job xxxvi. 21. Take heed to your spirit.-Mal. ii. 15.

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones.-Matt. xviii. 10.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.-Col. ii. 8.

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from our own stedfastness.-2 Pet. iii. 17.
