The Assembly returned the concurrent resolution introduced by Mr. E. R. Brown, making an appropriation for the expenses of the war committee investigation of food production, also the concurrent resolution introduced by Mr. Sage relative to the appointment of recess employees of the Senate and Assembly, also the concurrent resolution introduced by Mr. Sage relative to printing 2,000 copies of the forestry report of the committee on conservation, with a message that they have concurred in the adoption of the same. The President designated as the officers to remain thirty days after adjournment, pursuant to the provisions of the Legislative Law, the following: A. Miner Wellman, assistant clerk; Henry Seilheimer, journal clerk; Charles H. Wicks, index clerk; Clayton J. Bannister, assistant index clerk; George A. Wood, financial clerk. The President designated assistant doorkeepers, T. R. Van Hoesen and pages, John Sheehan, Edward Gallagher, George Heims and George Schifferdecker to attend at the opening of the next session of the Senate pursuant to the provisions of the Legislative Law. Messrs. Machold and McElligott, a committee from the Assembly, appeared in the Senate Chamber, and announced that the Assembly had concluded its business and was ready to adjourn. Mr. Slater offered the following: Resolved, That a committee of two Senators be appointed to wait upon the Assembly and inform that body that the Senate has completed its business and is ready to adjourn.
