The Assembly returned the Senate bill (No. 402, Int. No. 385) entitled "Concurrent resolution of the Senate and Assembly proposing an amendment to article twelve of the Constitution, in relation to territory proposed to be annexed to a city."

Also, Senate bill (No. 1362, Int. No. 1214) entitled "Concurrent resolution of the Senate and Assembly proposing an amendment to section one-a of article two of the Constitution, in relation to the powers of justices of the peace in criminal matters," with a message that it has concurred in the passage of the same.

The Assembly returned the Senate bill (No. 529, Assembly Reprint No. 2035, Int. No. 498) entitled "An act to amend the Arbitration Law, in relation to awards in certain cases."

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said bill to the Governor. Mr. Knight moved that the Senate do now adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it wsa decided in the affirmative.

No. 454) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to bridges,' " which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

Also, a bill (No. 2082, Rec. No. 455) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to county highways in the county of Chemung," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Westall, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 2202, Rec. No. 456) entitled "An act to amend the Education Law, in relation to physio-therapists," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

No. 461) entitled "An act to adopt a compact made between commissioners appointed by the Governor under a law of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and commissioners appointed by the Governor under a law of the State of New Jersey, and commissioners appointed by the Governor under a law of the State of New York, for the purpose of conserving the water resources of the Delaware river and making allotments therefrom to the said states respectively and determining and adjusting their respective rights therein," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.
