The Assembly returned the Senate bill (No. 529, Assembly reprint No. 2035, Int. No. 498) entitled "An act to amend the Arbitration Law, in relation to awards in certain cases, with a message that they have concurred in the passage of the same, with the following amendments:

Page 2, line 8, after the word "party" insert the following: "to the arbitration who has not participated therein."

Page 2, lines 11, 12 and 13, strike out the words "in the case of arbitration, that there was no dispute or controversy between the parties properly subject to arbitration, or that no demand for arbitration was properly made," and insert in place thereof the following: "that such party was not in default by failing to comply with the terms thereof."

No. 1137) entitled "An act to amend the Domestic Relations Law, in relation to marriage of minors," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Hickey moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on general laws with instructions to said committee to amend and report the same forthwith to be reprinted as amended and restored to its place in the order of third reading.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Hickey, from the committee on general laws, reported said bill amended as directed, and the same was ordered reprinted and placed on the order of third reading.

The Senate bill (No. 1064, Int. No. 961) entitled "An act to amend the Greater New York charter, relative to retirement for disability," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Antin moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on affairs of cities with instructions to said committee to amend and report the same forthwith to be reprinted as amended and restored to its place in the order of third reading.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Whitley, from the committee on affairs of cities, reported said bill amended as directed, and the same was ordered reprinted and placed on the order of third reading.

The Senate bill (No. 1684, Int. No. 1453) entitled "An act to consolidate into one municipality the city of Niagara Falls, New York, and the village of La Salle. New York, with necessary provisions affecting said city and village and the town of Niagara, and to amend the charter of said city generally," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Campbell moved that said bill
