Ordered, That the Clerk return said resolution to the Assembly, with a message that the Senate have concurred in the passage of the same. Mr. Esty, from the committee on public printing, to which was referred the resolution to print extra copies of the Annual Report of the State Homœopathic Insane Asylum, reported in favor of the adoption of the following resolution:

Resolved (if the Senate concur), That 1.200 copies of the Annual Report of the State Homœopathic Insane Asylum be printed for the use of the asylum.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, as follows:

No. 147, entitled "An act to amend chapter 80 of the Laws of 1880, entitled 'An act to amend chapter 351 of the Laws of 1874, entitled An act to amend chapter 312 of the Laws of 1859, entitled An act to equalize the State tax among the several counties in the State,' to amend chapter 327 of the

Laws of 1873 amendatory thereof," reported in favor of the passage of the same, and the title amended so as to read as follows: "An act to further amend chapter 312 of the Laws of 1859, entitled 'An act to equalize the State tax among the several counties in the State,' as amended by chapter 327 of the Laws of 1873, and chapter 351 of the Laws of 1874, and chapter 80 of the Laws of 1880," which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Ellsworth, from the committee on the judiciary, to which was referred the bill introduced by Mr. Low, Int. No. 185, entitled "An act to amend chapter 137 of the Laws of 1881, entitled 'An act to amend article 3, title 3, chapter 6, part 1 of the Revised Statutes, entitled Of elections in cities and towns, of the notices to be given to city and town officers, the formation of election districts and the appointment of inspectors of election thereof,'" reported in favor of the passage of the same, with amendments, and the title amended so as to read as follows: "An act to amend article 3, title 3, chapter 6, part 1 of the Revised Statutes, entitled 'Of elections in cities and towns, of the notices to be given to city and town officers, the formation of election districts and the appointment of inspectors of election thereof,' as amended by chapter 137 of the Laws of 1881," which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Ellsworth, from the committee on the judiciary, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act giving consent of the State of New York to the purchase by the United States of America of a piece of land for light-house purposes at Hallett's Point, Hell Gate, in Queens county, and ceding jurisdiction over the same," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Ellsworth, from the committee on the judiciary, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to amend chapter 275 of the Laws of 1882, entitled 'An act to amend section 78 of part 2, chapter 1, title 2, article 2 of the Revised Statutes, being in relation to uses and trusts,"" reported in favor of the passage of the same, with amendments, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Daggett, from the committee on engrossed bills, reported as correctly engrossed the bills entitled as follows:

"An act in relation to the study of physiology and hygiene in the public schools."

"An act to legalize the official acts of certain justices of the peace, and authorizing justices of the peace to execute and file official bonds, and to take and subscribe the official oath."

"An act to authorize and empower the commissioners of the sinking fund in the city of New York to appropriate and set apart land belonging to the said city, as locations for station-houses and for fire apparatus houses."

"An act to authorize the Home for the Aged of the Little Sisters of the Poor of the city of New York to acquire and hold real and personal estate for benevolent and charitable purposes."

"An act to amend chapter 517 of the Laws of 1864, entitled 'An act to amend an act entitled An act to authorize the formation of corporations for manufacturing, mining, mechanical or chemical purposes,' passed February 17, 1848, as amended by chapter 481 of the Laws of 1871."

The Assembly sent for concurrence the following entitled bill :

"An act in relation to the Wilson Academy and the Angelica Academy, and providing for the consolidation thereof," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on literature.

The Assembly returned the following entitled bill with a message that they had concurred in the passage of the same.

"An act to incorporate the Reynolds Library of the city of Rochester."

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said bill to the Governor.

Mr. Fassett introduced a bill entitled "An act in relation to the public park of the village of Corning," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on villages.

Also, a bill entitled "An act to release and convey to Chauncey E. Low and Robert W. Blackwell, executors and trustees under the last will and testament of James M. Mills, deceased, the right, title and interest of the people of the State of New York in and to certain real estate in the city and county of New York," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

Mr. Gibbs introduced a bill entitled "An act to provide an armory for the Twenty-second regiment of the National Guard of the State of New York, and the purchase or condemnation of land for the same, which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on finance.

Mr. Kiernan introduced a bill entitled "An act incorporating the 'Commercial Credit Guaranty of the city of New York,"" which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on banks.

Also (by request), a bill entitled "An act to amend sections 2 and 7 of chapter 339 of the Laws of 1883, entitled 'An act concerning pawnbrokers," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on cities.
