Taft, President of the United States of America, by tional Monument, virtue of the power in me vested by Section 2 of the Act of Congress Wash. approved June 2, 1906, entitled, "An Act for the Preservation of American Antiquities", do hereby declare and proclaim that the South half of the Southwest quarter of Section twenty-one, and the North half of the Northwest quarter of Section twenty-eight, in township twenty-four north, range eight west, Willamette Meridian, Washington, be and the same are hereby eliminated from the Mount Olympus National Monument. The provisions of the proclamation of March 2, 1909, shall remain in full force and effect as to all other lands thereby reserved as a National Monument. Now, therefore, I, William H. Taft, President of the United States Area diminished. of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the Act of Congress approved June fourth, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, entitled "An Act Making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and for other purposes," do proclaim that the boundaries of the Teton National Forest are hereby changed and that they are now as shown on the diagram forming a part hereof. The lands herein eliminated from the Teton National Forest are hereby withdrawn under the Act of June twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and ten (36 Stat., 847), for classification, and will, when compatible with public interests, be restored to settlement and entry under the laws applicable thereto on such dates as shall be fixed by the Secretary of the Interior and after such notice as he may deem advisable. This proclamation shall not prevent the settlement and entry of any lands heretofore opened to settlement and entry under the Act of Congress approved June eleventh, nineteen hundred and six, entitled "An Act To provide for the entry of Agricultural lands within forest reserves."
