BEGUN JANUARY SEVENTH, AND ENDED MAY SIXTH, 1868,
IN THE CITY OF ALBANY.
Chap.48. AN ACT to amend chapter one hundred and seventy-three of the Laws of eighteeņ:hundred and sixty-seven, passed March twenty-eight, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, entites: “An act to amend an act to provide for the: erection of a Town Hall in the town of Jamaica, in the county of Queens.” Passed April 29, 1868; three-fifths being present. The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows :
SECTION 1. Section one of chapter one hundred and Bonds to be seventy-three, Laws of eighteen hundred and sixty- payable in seven, passed March twenty-eighth, eighteen hundred years in and sixty-seven, entitled "An act to amend an act ments. entitled . An act to provide for the erection of a town hall in the town of Jamaica, in the county of Queens,'” passed April ninth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, is hereby amended by inserting after the word dollars” the words "exclusive of all moneys borrowed by the commissioners named in the original act,” and by striking out the word "twelve” wherever it occurs in said section, and inserting instead thereof the word "twenty, and by adding at the end of said section as follows: "The name and style of said commissioners shall be Corporate "The commissioners of the town hall of the town of
2. In case of a vacancy arising by the death, resig. Vacancies nation or removal from the town of any of the said com- sion: how missioners, such vacancy shall be filled at the next filled annual town meeting thereafter, in the manner provided by the act hereby amended. $ 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
