In response to a resolution of the Senate, as follows, to wit:

"IN SENATE, January 27, 1851.

Resolved, That the Auditor of the Canal Department be requested to prepare and report, as early as practicable, to the Senate, a digest of the claims which have been presented to the Canal Board, specifying the nature of the claim in each particular case, and the decision thereon.
