REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN

CORRESPONDENCE.

M.. W.. WILLIAM SHERER, from the Committee on Foreign Correspondence, presented the report of said Committee, which

was received and ordered printed in the Appendix to the Proceedings.

M.. W.. WILLIAM SHERER, from the Committee on Foreign Correspondence, presented the following resolution, which was, on motion, adopted:

To the Grand Lodge:

WHEREAS, On September 2, 1851, the Grand Lodge of New York adopted the following resolution :

“Resolved, That the body formerly known as Pythagoras Lodge, No. 86, be, and the same is, hereby declared irregular, and all Masonic intercourse with them prohibited. And whereas the Grand Lodge of Hamburg has refused to accede to our affectionate remonstrance against granting a warrant to Pythagoras Lodge, No. 86, all Masonic intercourse be, and the same is, hereby suspended between this Grand Lodge and the Grand Lodge of Hamburg until she recalls said warrant."

Therefore, be it Resolved, That inasmuch as the Grand Lodge of Hamburg has recalled the warrant of Pythagoras Lodge, No. 86, and that the said Lodge has gone out of existence, its funds distributed and its membership dispersed, this Grand Lodge withdraws the edict issued against the Grand Lodge of Hamburg, September 2, 1851, and hereby restores fraternal relationship between the Grand Lodge of Hamburg and the Grand Lodge of New York.

REPORT OF THE GRAND LECTURER.

R.. W.. JOHN LAUBENHEIMER, Grand Lecturer, presented the following report, which was received and ordered printed in the Proceedings:

To M.. W.. TOWNSEND SCUDDER,

Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York.

Dear Brother:

I herewith present my sixth annual report for the year ending April 30, 1907.

Before commencing the work of the year, as required by the Constitution, I appeared before the Custodians of the Work, and exemplified to their satisfaction the ritual as adopted by the Grand Lodge.

The

The conventions were generally largely attended. In some places, however, inclement weather interfered largely with the attendance. District Deputy Grand Masters were very careful in their arrangements for the conventions, and no doubt spent much time in preparing for these gatherings. I desire herewith gratefully to acknowledge the many courtesies extended to me by the D. D. G. M.'s in their respective districts.
