An application was also received through the Registrar of the college, asking that duplicate diplomas might be granted to

ROBERT B. CAMPFIELD, and
SALMON S. CHILDS,

both graduates of the class of 1851. Affidavits accompanied each of these applications, showing how said diplomas had been lost. On motion, it was

Resolved, That the diplomas, as requested, be granted.

Mr. PRUYN, from the standing committee on the State Library, presented the draft of the Annual Report; which, after being read, was approved, and ordered, after being duly attested, to be forwarded to the Legislature.

[This Report will be found among the Legislative Documents of 1854, being Assembly Document No. 138.]

Resolved, That 1000 copies of this report be requested for the use of the trustees.

An application of Oxford Academy for $250 to purchase books and apparatus, received February 25, 1854, was ordered to lie on the table.

An amended application for the incorporation of an academy at Richmondville, in the county of Schoharie, by the name of WARNERVILLE UNION SEMINARY & FEMALE INSTITUTE, was received.

Said application set forth that the petitioners were desirous of founding an academy, with a capital stock of eight thousand dollars, in shares of one hundred dollars each; that subscriptions (as was shown by the list annexed) had been obtained to the amount of $6650; that those petitioners were subscribers for more than one half of the said amount; and it appearing that the said application was further, in all respects, conformable to the ordinances and directions of the Regents in such matters made and provided, it was

Resolved, That a provisional charter be granted to said academy, in accordance with the action of this Board of the 27th January, 1854.

The Secretary, as ex officio Treasurer of the fund appropriated to the use of regents, made a detailed report of the receipts and expenditures from Jan. 1, 1853, to March 1, 1854, the same being duly certified as correct by the Chancellor.

Ordered, That the same be entered on the minutes.

T. ROMEYN BECK, SECRETARY, EX OFFICIO TREASURER OF THE APPROPRIATIONS MADE TO THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY, FROM JANUARY 1, 1853, TO MARCH 1, 1854.
