BULK FREIGHT STORAGE.

There are two facilities on the east bank of Northeast Cape Fear River for the storage of bulk freight. One is the coal wharf of the Springer Coal Co.; the other, that of the Josey Guano Co. above Hilton Bridge, which has storage for pyrites, sulphur, and phosphate rock.

On the west bank of Northeast Cape Fear River there are four facilities, all of which use the storage space for pyrites, sulphur, and phosphate rock. They are owned by Swift & Co., Virginia Corolina Chemical Co., American Agricultural Chemical Co., and the Fisheries Product Co.

There are two bulk freight storage facilities located on the west bank of Northwest Cape Fear River. One of them is owned by Morris & Co. and is just below Navassa Bridge; the other is owned by the Virginia Carolina Chemical Co. and is just above Navassa Bridge. These facilities store pyrites, sulphur, and phosphate rock.
