No. 515) entitled "An act reappropriating unexpended balances for the purposes of the construction and improvement of public highways; the payment by the State in the first instance of the Federal government's share of the cost of construction and improvement of rural post roads within the State as provided by an act of Congress, entitled 'An act to provide that the United States shall aid the States in the construction of rural post roads and for other purposes,' construction of State and county highways as designated in sections one hundred and twenty and one hundred and twenty-one of the Highway Law, also elimination or alteration of railroad crossings on State or county highways, and the maintenance and repair of improved State and county highways," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

for the construction of a highway bridge across the Hudson river at Poughkeepsie, between the counties of Dutchess and Ulster, and for the construction of approaches thereto, and making an appropriation therefor,' in relation to improvements in South Water street in the city of Poughkeepsie, beneath and in the vicinity of such bridge," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 155) entitled "An act to establish a new State hospital for the insane in the county of Rockland, to be known as the Rockland State Hospital, to provide for the construction and equipment of buildings therefor, and making an appropriation for the maintenance and care of real property heretofore acquired for the purposes of such a hospital," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 96) entitled "An act to amend section eight of chapter nine hundred and seven of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty, entitled 'An act providing for the reconstruction and rebuilding of the bridge crossing the Hudson river and Barge canal and connecting the cities of Troy and Cohoes between the counties of Albany and Rensselaer; apportioning the expense thereof to the State of New York, the counties of Albany and Rensselaer and the cities of Troy and Cohoes; making an appropriation for the share of such expense to be paid by the State and otherwise providing for the payment of such expense,' in relation to the apportionment of the expense of operation of such bridge," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 583) entitled "An act in relation to the Wassaic State School for Mental Defectives in the town of Amenia, Dutchess county, and making an appropriation for the maintenance and operation thereof including personal service," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 285) entitled "An act to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, in relation to jurisdiction of courts of special sessions," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Brown, from the committee on penal institutions, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Brown (No. 491, Int. No. 473) entitled "An act to amend the Interior Criminal Courts Act of the City of New York, in relation to supervision of segregated prisoners," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Thayer moved that the committee of the whole be discharge from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 22, Int. No. 22) entitled "An act to amend the Railroad Law, in relation to the appointment of policemen by steam or electric railroads, steamboat companies or express companies operating over steam or electric railroads," and that said bill be amended, reprinted and recommitted to the committee of the whole.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Ferris moved that the committee on finance be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 335, Int. No. 329) entitled "An act to amend the Conservation Law, in relation to battlefields and historic sites and making appropriations for the acquisition of lands thereof and the rehabilitation and historical marking thereof," and that said bill be amended, reprinted and recommitted to the committee on finance.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Kennedy moved that the committee on the judiciary be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 340, Int. No. 334) entitled "An act to amend the General Corporation Law, in relation to corporate names," and that said bill be amended, reprinted and recommitted to the committee on the judiciary.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmatively.

Mr. Kennedy moved that the committee on affairs of cities be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 521, Int. No. 501) entitled "An act to amend chapter four hundred and twelve of the Laws of nineteen hundred and seven, entitled 'An act providing for the court of general sessions of the city and county of New York, its judges and officers,' in relation to the title of such court, and salaries of the judges," and that said bill be amended, reprinted and recommitted to the committee on affairs of cities.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Gibbs moved that the committee on general laws be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 299, Int. No. 294) entitled "An act to amend the Real Property Law, in relation to the recording of assignments of mortgages and of payments thereon," and that said bill be amended, reprinted and recommitted to the committee on general laws.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The Senate bill (No. 263, Int. No. 260) entitled "An act to enable the city of Albany to grant and convey to the Albany Hospital certain lands in which an easement was heretofore granted for the erection of hospital buildings and upon which such buildings are now erected and maintained, was read the third time. The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:

The Senate bill (No. 219, Int. No. 216) entitled "An act to enable the board of supervisors of the county of Albany to grant and convey to the Albany Hospital certain lands on the northerly side of New Scotland avenue in the city of Albany heretofore conveyed by said board of supervisors to the Albany Medical College," was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present, as follows:
