No. 82) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to the repair, alteration or reconstruction of highway bridges by the State Commissioner of Highways, and authorizing the board of supervisors of the county or counties in which such bridges are located to appropriate and make available sufficient funds to pay the counties' share of the cost thereof," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

No 83) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, relating to highway improvement with Federal aid generally," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

No. 84) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to the construction of new bridges on a State or county highway at the joint expense of the State and county, authorizing boards of supervisors of the counties in which such bridge is located to appropriate and make available sufficient funds to pay the counties' share of the cost thereof,' which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

Mr. Knight moved that the Senate do now adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative. Whereupon, the Senate adjourned.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 86) entitled "An act extending the application and the time of application of certain acts of the years nineteen hundred and twenty and nineteen hundred and twentyone, nineteen hundred and twenty-two, nineteen hundred and twenty-three, and nineteen hundred and twenty-four, relating to defenses in actions based upon unjust, unreasonable and oppressive agreements for rent of premises occupied for dwelling purposes in certain cities, and to summary proceedings to recover the possession of real property in certain cities," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

Mr. Campbell introduced a bill (Int. No. 87) entitled "An act to provide for the improvement of Sawyer's creek, in the city of North Tonawanda and town of Wheatfield, Niagara county, and Alder creek, Bergholz creek and Cayuga creek, in the towns of Wheatfield and Niagara, and the village of La Salle, in said county, and making an appropriation therefor," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on finance.

Mr. Fearon introduced a bill (Int. No. 88) entitled "An act authorizing the transfer to the State, for a nominal consideration, of certain lands of Columbia University, located in the borough of Manhattan, city of New York, for the purposes of a psychiatric institute and hospital, and making them available for the New York State Psychiatric Institute," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on affairs of cities.
