Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said bill to the Assembly and request its concurrence therein.

The Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole, and proceeded to the consideration of general orders, being the bills entitled as follows:

(1) Assembly (No. 135, Rec. No. 4), entitled "An act to amend the Nassau County Police Act, in relation to police districts established pursuant to article fourteen-a of the Town Law."

(2) Assembly (No. 136, Rec. No. 6), entitled "An act in relation to police districts created in the county of Nassau under article fourteen-a of the Town Law."

(3) Assembly (No. 156, Rec. No. 3), entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to the repair, alteration or reconstruction of highway bridges by the State Commissioner of Highways, and authorizing the board of supervisors of the county or counties in which such bridges are located to appropriate and make available sufficient funds to pay the counties' share of the cost thereof."

(4) Assembly (No. 155, Rec. No. 2) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to the construction of new bridges on a State or county highway at the joint expense of the State and county, authorizing boards of supervisors of the counties in which such bridge is located to appropriate and make available sufficient funds to pay the counties' share of the cost thereof."

(5) Assembly (No. 344, Rec. No. 7), entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, relating to highway improvement with Federal aid generally."

(6) Assembly (No. 94, Rec. No. 1), entitled "An act making an appropriation for extra clerical service to new committees of the Senate and Assembly."

After some time spent therein, the President resumed the chair, and Mr. Mastick, from said committee, reported in favor of the passage of the above named bills, which report was agreed to, and said bills ordered to a third reading.

The Assembly returned the Senate bill (No. 76, Int. No. 77) entitled "An act to amend chapter two hundred and twenty-eight of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty-five, entitled 'An act to create a commission to investigate and report upon the suburban passenger transportation problem of the city of New York and its environs, and making an appropriation therefor,' in relation to the time for such commission to make its report,' with a message that they have concurred in the passage of the same.

Mr. Knight moved that the Senate do now adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative. Whereupon, the Senate adjourned.

Mr. Dick introduced a bill (Int. No. 436) entitled "An act to amend chapter six hundred and thirty-nine of the Laws of nineteen, entitled 'An act to make the office of supervisor in the county of Monroe a salaried office and to regulate the sessions of the board of supervisors in said county,' in relation to increasing the salaries of the said supervisors," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

Mr. Fearon introduced a bill (Int. No. 437) entitled "An act to confer jurisdiction upon the Court of Claims to hear, audit and determine the claim of Sigmond Frensdorf against the State of New York for personal injury and property damage alleged to have been sustained on the eighth day of November, nineteen hundred and twenty-four, on the State highway leading from Oneida to Syracuse, by reason of the negligence of the State of New York, its officers, agents, or servants, and to render judg ment therefor," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on general laws.

Mr. Karle introduced a bill (Int. No. 438) entitled "An act

to amend the Personal Property Law, in relation to the place of filing conditional sale contracts,' which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on general laws.

Mr. Thompson introduced a bill (Int. No. 439) entitled "An act to amend the Town Law, in relation to elections in water districts in towns, and in districts for the collection and disposition of garbage or ashes in certain towns," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

Mr. Walsh introduced a bill (Int. No. 440) entitled "An act to amend the Civil Practice Act, in relation to costs in foreclosure actions," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on codes.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 441) entitled "An act to amend the Real Property Law, in relation to acknowledgment of conveyances made in foreign countries," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on general laws.

No. 442) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to the amount which may be raised for the purchase or repairs of highway machinery," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

No. 443) entitled "An act to amend the Town Law, in relation to the employment of a clerk to the supervisors of towns in Rockland county," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns counties and public highways.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 444) entitled "An act to amend the Stock Corporation Law, in relation to the authority of foreign corporations to do business in this State," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on general laws.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 445) entitled "An act to amend chapter one hundred and fifty-two of the Laws of eighteen hundred and sixty-five, entitled 'An act to erect a new town from a part of the town of Haverstraw, in the county of Rockland,' in relation to the boundaries of such town," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 446) entitled "An act to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, in relation to the fees of jurors in courts of special sessions," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on codes.

No. 449) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to the disposition in villages of less than twenty-five hundred inhabitants, of fines, penalties or forfeitures under the motor vehicle article,' which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 450) entitled "An act to amend the Surrogate's Court Act, in relation to the issuance of limited letters where a cause of action may exist to recover damages for negligently causing the death of a decedent," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on codes.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 451) entitled "An act to amend the County Law, in relation to hours for holding elections in fire districts, which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.

No. 452) entitled "An act to amend the Public Service Commission Law, in relation to the purchase and holding by a corporation organized under and pursuant to the provisions of the Transportation Corporations Law, of the capital stock of another corporation so organized," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on public service.

Mr. Byrne introduced a bill (Int. No. 453) entitled "An act to amend the Benevolent Orders Law, in relation to the union of certain benevolent orders," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on general laws.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 454) entitled "An act to amend the Civil Practice Act, in relation to the filing of inventories and accounts by committees of incompetent persons," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on codes.

Mr. Westall introduced a bill (Int. No. 455) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to exempting personal property from taxation," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on taxation and retrenchment.

Mr. Thompson introduced a bill (Int. No. 456) entitled "An act to amend the Conservation Law, in relation to taking oysters from noncertified waters," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on conservation.

Mr. Ferris introduced a bill (Int. No. 457) entitled "An act to provide for the establishment of a hatchery or rearing station or both for game fish, at or near Lake George, and making an appropriation therefor," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on finance.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 458) entitled "An act to provide for the establishment of a hatchery or rearing station or both for game fish, in the town of Crown Point, Essex county, and making an appropriation therefor," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on finance.

Mr. Kirkland, from the committee on agriculture, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Kirkland (No. 39, Int. No. 39) entitled "An act to amend the Farms and Markets Law, in relation to the sale, removal or slaughter of animals affected with tuberculosis," reported in favor of passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Gibbs, from the committee on the judiciary, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Burchill (No. 320, Int. No. 315) entitled "An act to amend chapter one hundred and thirty-six of the Laws of eighteen hundred and eighty, entitled 'An act to incorporate the American Jersey Cattle Club for improving the breeding of Jersey cattle in the United States,' in relation to the amount of real and personal estate which such corporation is authorized to hold, mortgage, transfer and convey," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Gibbs, from the committee on the judiciary, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Byrne (No. 60, Int. No. 61) entitled "An act to validate and authorize the issuance of bonds of sewer district of school district number twenty-two of the town of Colonie, county of Albany, to the amount of one hundred thousand dollars, and to legalize all acts and proceedings in relation thereto," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Gibbs, from the committee on the judiciary, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Dick (No. 30, Int. No. 30) entitled "An act to amend chapter four hundred and ninetynine of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty-five, entitled 'An act to amend the County Law, in relation to the number and compensation of county judges, and in relation to the compensation of the surrogate, in Monroe county,' in relation to the appli
