It required a majority of all the votes cast at the election to carry the Convention. There were 367,080 affirmative and negative votes cast, and 460,462 for Governor, 93,382 of the voters who cast ballots for Governor made no expression on the Convention, but they are nevertheless counted against it. Subtracting the affirmative vote from the total vote on Governor, the total negative vote is found to be 193.794, leaving a majority for the Convention of 72,874. 2311.. 1850.. 2921 2115 Churchill Montg'y..5669 6318.. 6005 6357.. 6163 6420 1699 458 499.. 524 882.. new Co. .6147 7200.. 6161 6821.. 6480 5218 ..46.06 53.94.. 47.46 52.54. 55.39 441.61 Total vote for Governor, 13,347; L.
