SECT. 2. The lines for the harbor of New Bed2 ford commence at a point near the Smoking Rocks, 3 to find which, measure from the south side of South 4 Street, eight hundred and twenty-seven feet in the 5 east line of South Water Street; thence easterly, at 6 right angles with the east line of South Water Street, 7 seventeen hundred and fifty-three feet, to the afore8 said point of commencement; thence, in a line 9 northerly until it intersects a line drawn easterly, 10 by the north face of Merrell's Wharf, two hundred 11 feet from the head of said wharf, and thirteen hun12 dred and twenty feet from the east line of said street; 13 thence, in a line northerly, until it intersects a line 14 drawn by the north line of Central Wharf, twenty 15 feet easterly from the present head of said wharf, 16 which point of intersection will be seven hundred 17 and seventy-four feet easterly of the east line of 18 North Water Street; thence, a line northerly, to the 19 northeast corner of the south spur of Rotche's Wharf, 20 seven hundred and thirty-five feet easterly of the 21 east line of said street; thence, a line to the north22 east corner of Hazzard's Wharf, five hundred and 23 ninety-five feet easterly of said street; thence, a 24 line to the northeast corner of Parker's Wharf, thir25 ty-one feet southerly of the New Bedford and Fair26 haven Bridge; thence, westerly, by the north face of 27 said wharf, ninety-one feet, to the head of the dock, 28 and four hundred and ninety-five feet easterly from 29 the east line of said North Water Street; thence, a

30 line northerly, crossing the New Bedford and Fair31 haven Bridge, to the southeast corner of Samuel Rod32 man's Wharf, and five hundred and fifty-nine feet 33 easterly of the east line of said street; thence, a line 34 northerly, until it intersects a line drawn easterly by 35 the south side of the Railroad Wharf, eight hundred 36 and forty feet easterly of the east line of Orange 37 Street, and two thousand and fifty feet easterly of the 38 east line of Purchase Street; thence, a line north39 erly, until it intersects the north boundary line of 40 Benjamin Rodman's farm, twenty-three hundred and 41 sixty feet easterly of the east line of county road, 42 and four hundred and fifty feet easterly from the 43 northeast corner of a sea-wall in said boundary line; 44 thence, a line northerly, until it intersects a line 45 drawn east, from a point two hundred and twenty46 five feet northerly, from the south boundary line of 47 Haydon Coggeshall's farm, in the east line of Coun48 ty Street, twenty-seven hundred and twenty-five feet 49 east of the east line of said county road; thence, a 50 line northerly, until it intersects the north boundary 51 line of said Coggeshall's farm, as it passes said coun52 ty road, twenty-six hundred feet easterly of the east 53 line of said road; thence, a line northerly, until it 54 intersects a line drawn easterly, by the south bound55 ary line of the public landing at Bellville, three 56 hundred and eighty feet easterly of the east line of 57 Bellville Road, leading to the head of Accushnet 58 River.

SECT. 3. The lines for the harbor of Fairhaven, 2 commence at a point six hundred and eighty feet 3 from the east line of Bellville Road, leading to the

4 head of Accushnet River, on the New Bedford side, 5 and three hundred feet easterly of the last point in 6 the description of the limitation lines on the New 7 Bedford side; thence, in a line southerly, until it 8 intersects the north boundary line of Willard Nye's 9 farm, on the New Bedford side, and thirty-two hun10 dred feet easterly from the east line of county road, 11 in said New Bedford; thence, a line southerly, until 12 it intersects the line which runs east from a point 13 two hundred and twenty-five feet north of the south 14 line of Haydon Coggeshall's farm, four hundred and 15 fifty feet east of the limitation line established by 16 the preceding section, upon the New Bedford side ; 17 thence, a line southerly, until it intersects a line 18 drawn easterly by the north line of Pond Street, in 19 said New Bedford, twenty-seven hundred and seven20 ty feet from the east line of Purchase Street; thence, 21 a line in the direction of the west abutment of the 22 New Bedford and Fairhaven Bridge on Pope's Isl23 and, until it intersects a line drawn westerly by the 24 north line of a street running easterly by Bartholo25 mew Taber's house, in Fairhaven ; thence, easterly, 26 in said intersected line, to a point thirteen hundred 27 and sixty feet westerly of the west line of Main 28 Street, in said Fairhaven; thence a line southerly, 29 to the east abutment of the aforesaid bridge on Fair30 haven side, five hundred and fifty-nine feet westerly 31 of the west line of Main Street in said Fairhaven; 32 thence, a line southerly, until it intersects a line 33 drawn westerly, by the south line of a street leading 34 to the river by Abner Pease's house, nine hundred 35 and twenty feet westerly of the west line of Main 36 Street, in said Fairhaven; thence, a line southerly,

37 to the head of Delano's Wharf, three hundred and 38 ten feet westerly of the west line of Water Street; 39 thence, a line southerly, until it intersects a line cor40 responding with the north side of the Old South 41 Wharf, and twenty feet westerly from the head of 42 said wharf, and eight hundred and twenty feet west43 erly of the west line of Water Street; thence, a 44 line southerly, parallel with Water Street, until it 45 intersects a line drawn westerly by the south side of 46 Central Wharf; thence, a line southerly and easter47 ly, until it intersects a line drawn west from a point 48 five hundred feet northerly, from the corner of a 49 street leading down on William R. Rodman's Wharf, 50 and nine hundred and thirty-five feet west, from the 51 west line of the road leading to the fort; thence, a 52 line southerly, until it intersects a line drawn west 53 from the fort, and eight hundred and thirty feet west 54 from the west wall of said fort.

SECT. 4. The lines, beyond which no wharf or 2 pier shall be extended from Fish Island, commence at 3 the west abutment of the New Bedford and Fairhaven 4 Bridge, on said island, and at the north-west corner 5 thereof; thence, northerly, by the wall of the wharf, 6 one hundred feet; thence, a line at right angles with 7 said wall, westerly, one hundred feet; thence, a line 8 northerly, being one hundred feet westerly from the 9 north-west corner of said wall, to a point intersecting 10 a line at right angles, drawn from the north-east cor11 ner of the wall of said wharf; thence, by said line, 12 easterly, to the said north-east corner; thence, south13 erly, by the face of said wharf, crossing the bridge, to 14 a point intersecting a line at right angles, drawn from

15 a point in a line corresponding with the head of the 16 Pile Wharf, and one hundred and twenty feet easterly 17 of the south-west corner of said wharf; thence, by 18 aforesaid line, to the point before named; thence, a 19 line northerly, to the south-west corner of Stone 20 Wharf, and by the face of the head of said wharf, to 21 the north-east corner; thence, by the wall of said 22 wharf, easterly, to a stone wall, and by said wall, 23 crossing the said bridge, to the place of beginning.

SECT. 5. The lines, beyond which no wharf or pier 2 shall be extended from Pope's Island, commence at 3 the east abutment of the New Bedford and Fairhaven 4 Bridge, on said island, and at the north-east corner 5 thereof; thence a line, in direction of the south-east 6 corner of Railroad Wharf, seventeen hundred and 7 ninety-three and six-tenths feet; said line, continued, 8 intersects a line by the south side of the Railroad 9 Wharf, five hundred and forty feet easterly from the 10 east line of Orange Street; thence, a line westerly, at 11 an angle of one hundred and thirty degrees, five hun12 dred feet; thence, a line southerly and westerly, at 13 an angle of one hundred and forty-two degrees, nine 14 hundred and thirty feet; thence, crossing said bridge, 15 in a line southerly and easterly, at an angle of ninety16 one degrees, sixteen hundred feet; thence, easterly, 17 a line at an angle of one hundred and twenty degrees, 18 twelve hundred and ten feet; thence, a line northerly 19 and easterly, at an angle of one hundred and thirty20 one degrees, three hundred and ninety-six and eight 21 tenths feet, to the place of beginning, making an 22 angle of one hundred and six degrees with the line 23 first described.
