CHAP. 55.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Susan F. Connit. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Susan F. Connit, widow of Horace E. Connit, late major, Twenty-ninth Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

Black, late sergeant-major, Twelfth Regiment Illinois Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Miller, widow of William E. Milfer, late colonel Twenty-eighth Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the

pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Napoleon B. Perkins, late of Fifth Battery, Maine Volunteer Light Artillery, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Schroeder, late first lieutenant and captain, Third Regiment United States Infantry, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Armstrong, late of Company E, Fifty-seventh Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.
