Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United [Private, No. 289.] States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Dicey Woodall, widow of William W. Woodall, late of Captain John Padget's company of Florida Volunteers, Florida Indian war, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

CHAP. 324.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Sarah E. Morrow.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Sarah E. Morrow, widow of James Morrow, late of Company B, Twelfth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Cavalry, and pay her a pension at the rate of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving, and two dollars per month additional on account of the minor child of said James Morrow until it reaches the age of sixteen years.

CHAP. 330.-An Act For the relief of Flora A. Darling.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Mrs. Flora A. Darling, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five thousand six hundred and eighty-three dollars, in full satisfaction of all claims growing out of her arrest, imprisonment, and the seizure of her property by military authority at the city of New Orleans, in January, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, while on a flag-of-truce boat under protection of a safe-conduct given her by Major-General N. P. Banks, then commanding the Department of the Gulf.

lieutenant of Company C, Tenth Regiment Illinois Cavalry, and to
issue to him an honorable discharge to date from June eighteenth, anno
Domini eighteen hundred and sixty-three.

CHAP. 341.-An Act For the relief of Julius A. Kaiser.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized to nominate and, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to appoint Julius A. Kaiser upon the retired list of the Navy, in the grade of passed assistant engineer, as of the date he was entitled by law or navy regulations to examination for promotion from assistant engineer to said grade. Approved, January 30, 1903.

Worley. is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, and that the same be paid to J. V. Worley, of Hardin County, Tennessee, to reimburse him for a like sum wrongfully collected from him by the United States marshal for the eastern division of the western district of Tennessee, in the sixth judicial

circuit thereof.
