CHAP. 1225.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to John H. Amadon.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John H. Amadon, late of Companies I and Ď, First Regiment Vermont Volunteer Heavy Artillery, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John Graham, late of Company I, Third Regiment Michigan Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Smith, late of Company G, Thirty-eight Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, March 3, 1903.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Leighton M. Perveil, States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the alias Charles H. Hunt. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Leighton M. Perveil, alias Charles H. Hunt, late of Company K, Twenty-third Regiment United States Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month. Approved, March 3, 1903.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Jeffrey Hufford, late of Company M, Second Regi

ment Pennsylvania Volunteer Heavy Artillery, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 1230.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to John C. Collahan.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John C. Collahan, late first lieutenant Company A, One hundredth Regiment United States Colored Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Johnston, late captain Company G, First Regiment Ohio Volunteers, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Price, late of Company M, First Regiment Alabama Volunteer Infantry, war with Spain, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Montanye, late a private of United States Voltigeurs, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Lucinda Lawrence. States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension faws, the name of Lucinda Lawrence, helpless and dependent daughter of Albert A. Lawrence, late of Company M, First Regiment Michigan Volunteer Engineers and Mechanics, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Merrell, late of Company E, Battalion Mississippi Volunteers, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. CHAP. 1239.-An Act To amend the Act entitled "An Act granting an increase of pension to Mary La Tourrette Stotsenburg," approved June second, nineteen hundred.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Mary La Tourrette States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act entitled "An Act Stotsenburg. granting an increase of pension to Mary La Tourrette Stotsenburg," amended. approved June second, nineteen hundred, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows: That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary L. Stotsenburg, widow of John M. Stotsenburg, late colonel First Regiment Nebraska Volunteer Infantry, war with Spain, and pay her a pension at the rate of fifty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving, and two dollars per month additional on account of each of the minor children of said John M. Stotsenburg until they reach the age of sixteen years.

CHAP. 1240.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to William F. Ritchie. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of William F. Ritchie, late of Company F, Eighty-third Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Hutchinson, late of Company A, Second Regiment Nebraska Volunteer Cavalry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving: Provided, however, That in the case of the death of the helpless child Grace A. Hutchinson, on whose account the pension of Eliza M. Hutchinson is increased, the pension of said Eliza M. Hutchinson shall continue only at the rate of eight dollars per month from and after the date of death of said helpless child. Approved, March 3, 1903.
