RAILROAD COMPANIES OF MICHIGAN.

The following condensed and admirable history of railroad enterprise in Michigan, so far as it appears from the old laws and from the records in the State departments, is taken from the Lansing State Republican, for which it was recently prepared by Mr. James W. King, of that paper. In its compilation, Mr. King was greatly aided by the extensive experience of Hon. William Humphrey, Auditor General, and by facilities furnished by Gilbert M.
