The bill entitled "An act in relation to the fare on the Grand Street and Newtown Railroad Company of Brooklyn," having been announced for a third reading,

On motion of Mr. H. C. Murphy and by unanimous consent, said bill was amended by striking out all after the word "road" in line 3, printed bill, and inserting in lieu thereof, the following:

"As follows: five cents for each passenger for the whole distance of the said road or any part thereof, and the government tax as allowed by law in addition; provided nevertheless, that said company shall sell twenty tickets for one dollar, including the government tax, at their place of business between the hours of 8 o'clock A. M. and 6 o'clock P. M., which tickets shall entitle the holder thereof to one passage each." Amend the title by striking out the word "company."

Said bill, as amended, was read a third time.
