The first section of the "Act to authorize the formation of corporations for mining, mechanical or chemical purposes," passed February 17th, 1848, is hereby amended by inserting after the words "any kind of manufacturing, mining, mechanical or chemical business," the words "or the business of quarrying stone or lumbering, or for the purpose of supplying cities and villages with water."
