On motion of Mr. Williams and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended, and said bill recommitted to the committee, with power to report complete.

Mr. White moved to take from the table the question of agreeing to the adverse report of the committee on the judiciary upon the bill entitled "An act relating to evidence in criminal cases."

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

On motion of Mr. T. Murphy and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and the following entitled Assembly bills recommitted to the committee on banks, with power to report complete:

"An act to incorporate the Central Park Savings Bank in the city of New York,"

"An act to incorporate the National Savings Institution of the city of New York."

On motion of Mr. Parsons and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended and said bill recommitted to the committee, with power to report complete.

Mr. Andrews, from the committee on municipal affairs, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to organize and establish a police force for the city of Utica," reported in favor of the passage of the same.

On motion of Mr. Campbell and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended, and said bill recommitted to the committee, with power to report complete.

Mr. Andrews, from the committee on municipal affairs, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to revize and amend the charter of the village of Astoria, in Queens county, State of New York," reported in favor of the passage of the same, and said bill was committed to the committee of the whole.
