On motion of Mr. Andrews, and by unanimous consent, said bill was referred to the committee on railroads, with power to report complete.

The Assembly returned the bill entitled "An act to lay out Washington square, in the village of Edgewater, in the town of Middletown, county of Richmond," with a message that they had non-concurred in the amendments of the Senate thereto, and had appointed a committee of conference consisting of Messrs. Wyeth, Harrington, Gleason, Lockwood and L. Buck, and request a like committee on the part of the Senate.

Mr. La Bau moved a committee of conference on the part of the Senate.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The Assembly returned the bill entitled "An act to extend the New York avenue, in Richmond county, and to provide the means therefor," with a message that they had non-concurred in the amendments of the Senate thereto, and had appointed a committee of conference thereon, consisting of Messrs. Wyeth, Harrington, Gleason, Lockwood and L. Buck, and request a like committee on the part of the Senate.

Mr. La Bau moved a committee of conference on the part of the Senate.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Messrs. La Bau, Chambers and Kline, were appointed as such committe.

By unanimous consent, Mr. O'Donnell asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to amend an act to permit the town of Lowville to subscribe for stock in a railroad company, and to raise money to pay such subscription," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. O'Donnell and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading.
