The Assembly bill entitled "An act to authorize the consolidation of the Buffalo and Oil Creek Cross-cut Railroad Company, in the State of New York, and the Cross-cut Railroad Company in the State of Pennsylvania," having been announced for a third reading,

On motion of Mr. Low and by unanimous consent, said entitled bill was amended by striking therefrom the amendment made by the committee on railroads.

Said bill, as amended, was read a third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the members elected to the Senate voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths of said members being present, as follows:

Mr. Folger moved to recommit the same to the committee on judiciary. The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion to recommit, and it was decided in the affirmative.

On motion of Mr. Low and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and the Assembly bill entitled "An act to allow the Wilksbarre Coal and Iron Company to hold real estate for depot purposes," was recommitted to the committee on the judiciary, with power to report complete.

The Assembly bill entitled "An act to authorize the city of Oswego to borrow money for the purpose of building a bridge, and to provide by appropriation for its construction over the Oswego canal," having been announced for a third reading,

Mr. Wolcott moved to recommit the same to the committee on canals, with instructions to restore the sections stricken out in committee of the whole, and report the same forthwith to the Senate as it passed the As sembly, and retain its place in order of third reading of bills.
