CHAPTER 62.

Revenue-Act Regulating.

AN ACT to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act to Provide for a Territorial and
County Revenue," Approved December 10. 1869.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of
the Territory of Wyoming :

SECTION 1. School Districts-Officers of.

AN ACT to Amend Chapter 103 of the Compiled Laws of Wyoming.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming:

SECTION 1. In all school districts in this Territory concreased to six- taining a population of two thousand or more, the number of trustees shall at the next regular meeting of such districts be increased to six as hereinafter provided.

SEC. 2. At the next regular meeting of any of the Election of school districts mentioned in section one of this act, there shall be elected in addition to the trustee whose term of office expires on that day, one trustee to hold his office until the next succeeding annual district election, one to hold his office until the second suceeding district election, and one to hold his office until the third succeeding annual election, and at each annual election thereafter there shall be elected two trustees, who shall hold office until the third succeeding annual election after the time of their election.

SEC. 4. It shall be the duty of every board of school directors constituted under the provisions of this act to board of trust provide at the expense of their district, and for said district, a seal, upon which shall be engraved the words "School District No. Co., Wyo. Ter." stating the number of the district and the county in which it is situated. The seal shall be in possession of the clerk of the district. It shall be affixed to all communications or notices required by law to be sent or published by such school board, and to all warrants drawn upon the treasurer of the district.

SEC. 5. Section 36 of chapter 103 of the Compiled Amendment to Laws of Wyoming, is hereby amended by striking out section 36 of the word " seven " where it occurs in the third [line] of laws. said section, and inserting in lieu thereof the word "six." SEC. 6. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 64.

School Districts in Uinta County-Act Repealing.

AN ACT to Repeal an Act Entitled "An Act Relating to the School Districts in Uinta County."

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming:

SECTION 1. That an act entitled "an act relating to Repeal. school districts in Uinta county," approved December 15, 1877, be and the same is hereby repealed..

SEC. 2. That the school fund in said county, whether Apportionme't in the hands of the county treasurer, or that hereafter funds. may come into his hands by virtue of said act, be apportioned among the several school districts in said county, and the county treasurer shall in due time notify the. county superintendent of what school funds he has in his hands, in order that said superintendent may make a proper and due apportionment of the same.

SEC. 3. This act shall be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 65.

School Districts-Schools.

AN ACT to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act Providing for the Organization of
School District Schools and for Other Purposes," Approved December

12, 1873.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming:

adding thereto the following words, viz: "And if at any time after the first Monday of December of any year and before the time arrives for the collection of the taxes for the ensuing year, there should be any funds in the county treasury belonging to the county school fund, and the county superintendent of schools should deem it necessary or advisable, he may apportion such funds among the several school districts of his county, in such manner as is prescribed in this section for the distribution of such funds, and he may make such apportionment whenever he deems it advisable within the periods prescribed therein."

SEC. 2.

This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 66.

Sheep.

AN ACT to Prevent the Spread of Malignant Disease among Sheep.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the

SEC. 2. It shall be the duty of the sheep inspector, Duties of inupon information by affidavit filed before a justice of the peace, that any flock of sheep within his jurisdiction has the scab or any other malignant contagious disease, upon two days' notice in writing to the owner or agent or person in custody of said flock, if [the] owner or agent be absent from the county, to inspect said flock and report in writing the result of his inspection, and if so diseased, once every two weeks thereafter to reinspect said flock and report in writing the result and treatment, if any, and the result until said disease is reported cured; Provided, That in case of the removal of the flock six miles from the range of any other sheep, as hereinafter provided, he shall only make one inspection every three months.

SEC. 3. And upon the arrival of any flock of sheep kept six miles into the counties of the Territory where sheep may be from any other located, the owner or agent thereof shall be on due notice compelled to drive them at least six miles from the band of sheep so located, and if the owner or agent fail to comply with the above notice, he shall be fined in the penal sum of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than three hundred dollars.
