No. 73) entitled "An act to amend the Executive Law, in relation to the department of State police," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

No. 311) entitled "An act to amend the Mental Deficiency Law, in relation to the State Farm for Women, and to repeal certain sections of chapter four hundred and sixty-seven of the Laws of nineteen hundred and eight, entitled 'An act to establish a State farm for women and making an appropriation therefor," " reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Pitcher (No. 113, Int. No. 113) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to compensation of town superintendent and deputy," reported in favor of the passage of the same with amendments, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Hewitt (No. 109, Int. No. 109) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to increased width of State and county highways at the expense of the county,' reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Hewitt (No. 108, Int. No. 108) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to contracts for highway construction by boards of supervisors and town boards," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Hewitt, from the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Knight (No. 244, Int. No. 242) entitled “An act to amend chapter five hundred and sixty-four of the Laws of nineteen hundred and ten, entitled 'An act to provide for county roads in certain counties,' in relation to such roads in villages," reported in favor of the passage of the same with amendments, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Sage, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Walters (No. 72, Int. No. 72) entitled "An act authorizing the Commissioners of the Land Office to issue to Frazer and Jones Company a patent quitclaiming all the right, title and interest of the State in and to certain lands in the town of Camillus, in the county of Onondaga," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to, and said bill committed to the committee of the whole.

Mr. Mullan, from the committee on affairs of cities, to which was referred the Senate bill introduced by Mr. Mullan (No. 253, Int. No. 251) entitled "An act to amend the General City Law, in relation to appropriations for pension funds," reported in favor of the passage of the same, which report was agreed to.

On motion of Mr. Mullan, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Mr. Sage, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the resolution introduced by Mr. G. L. Thompson relative to printing and distribution of thirty-five thousand copies of proceedings of the Legislature in relation to memorial services of the late Hon. Theodore Roosevelt, two hundred to each Senator and one hundred and fifty for each member of Assembly, reported the same amended to read as follows:

Resolved (if the Assembly concur), That twenty-five thousand copies of the proceeding of the Legislature in relation of the memorial services for the late Hon. Theodore Roosevelt be printed under the direction of the Clerks of the Senate and Assembly and distributed as follows: Two hundred for each Senator, one hundred for each member of the Assembly and the balance to the Clerks of each House for general distribution requests by mail.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution as amended, and it was determined in the affirmative, as follows:

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said resolution to the Assembly and request their concurrence therein.

Mr. Sage, from the committee on finance, to which was referred the resolution introduced by Mr. Lynch relative to authorizing New York State Bridge and Tunnel Commission to confer with similar Commission from State of New Jersey, and report on or before December 31, 1920, as to desirability and practicability of bridges and tunnels, between points on Staten Island and points in New Jersey, reported the same amended to read as follows:

Line 1, add the word "Bridge ".

Line 23, add the words "(if the Assembly concur)” after the word "Resolved ".

Change the date " 31st day of December, 1920 " to " 1st day of February, 1921.”

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution as amended, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said resolution to the Assembly and request their concurrence therein.

Mr. Walters offered the following:

Resolved, That a committee of two be appointed to wait upon the Assembly and inform that body that the Senate is ready to meet in joint session for the purpose of comparing nominations for the office of Regents of the University, and for the office of members of the Council of Farms and Markets.

The President appointed as such committee Messrs. Knight and Boylan.

The above committee returned and reported that they had performed that duty.
