Mr. Walters moved that the Senate do now adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Whereupon, the Senate adjourned.

Mr. Walters introduced a bill (Int. No. 481) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to distribution of the income tax," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on taxation and retrenchment.

Mr. Sutherland introduced a bill (Int. No. 482) entitled "An act to amend the Real Property Law, in relation to the persons before whom acknowledgments and proofs within the State may be taken," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

Mr. Davenport introduced a bill (Int. No. 483) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to taxation of corporations," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on taxation and retrenchment.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 484) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to a franchise tax on business corporations," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on taxation and retrenchment.

Mr. Twomey introduced a bill (Int.
