The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

The journal of yesterday was read and approved.

Mr. Law moved that the committee on affairs of villages be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 258, Int. No. 254) entitled "An act to amend chapter six hundred and sixtyseven of the Laws of nineteen hundred and ten, entitled 'An act to amend, revise and consolidate the charter of the village of Ossining,' generally," and that the said bill be amended, reprinted and recommitted to the committee on affairs of villages.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Law moved that the Senate do now adjourn.

Mr. Fowler introduced a bill (Int. No. 588) entitled “An act to amend chapter two hundred and fifty-five of the Laws of nineteen hundred and nine, entitled 'An act to empower the Commissioners of the Land Office to adjust the claim of the Cayuga nation of Indians set forth in the memorial of said nation bearing date February twenty-seventh, nineteen hundred and six, and presented to said commissioners,' in relation to occupancy of resident Cayuga Indians of lands on the Cattaraugus and Allegany reservations, and authorizing the Commissioners of the Land Office to make provision therefor," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

Mr. Gibbs introduced a bill (Int. No. 589) entitled "An act to amend chapter one hundred and thirty-five of the Laws of eighteen hundred and eighty-four, entitled 'An act providing for the better collection of taxes in the county of Erie; for the sale by the treasurer thereof of lands in said county for unpaid taxes, and regulating the compensation of said treasurer,' in relation to publication of notice relating to assessment-roll, warrant and payment of taxes," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on internal affairs of towns, counties and public highways.
