Statement includes National, State and Savings banks, private bankers, and trust companies-June 14, 1912. NOTE. The banking resources of the City of New York amount to 19 per cent. of the total of the United States. STATE BANKING INSTITUTIONS-1912. The following are the number and resources of the different classes of banking and co-operative institutions (not including private bankers) under the supervision of the State Banking Department of New York on December 31, 1912: DISTRIBUTION OF MONEY IN THE UNITED STATES, 1912. SALES OF STOCKS AT THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE. Sales of bonds at the New York Stock Exchange during 1912 amounted to $675,971,100 (par value) comparing with $890,784,700 in 1911, with $635,915,150 in 1910, with $1,285,712,518 in 1909, and with $1,081,261,120 in 1908. The total sales of stocks in 1912 in Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Pittsburgh and Baltimore were 20,080,343 shares as against 16,172,463 in 1911 and 21,894,575 in 1910. |
