The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person as follows:

1870.

March 16. Peter Mannan, laborer, was run over and killed at Granville by the night passenger train, in consequence of a rail being turned by the freight train which preceded it.

May 5. Thomas Sheridan, an employe, after attending a "wake," was walking on the track and was run over by a passenger train and killed, near Castleton.

May 25. James Torrance, a brakeman of the road, was knocked off the top of a freight train near Sandy Hill, by a bridge, and killed.

July 5. Cady, while intoxicated, was crossing Fort Ann bridge, struck by the engine and slightly injured. July 6. Nelson Bonville was found dead on the track two miles north of Salem, after passing up of the night train.

July 7. John Jordan, very drunk, attempted to steal a ride on freight train at Fort Edward in the night, missed his hold and fell under the train, crushing one arm; arm amputated.

July 18. E. De Grush, while walking on track near Glen's Falls, was struck by train coming in opposite direction and killed.

July 21. The remains of Perry Buller were found on the track north of Mechanicsville, by the trackman, with severe cut in his head; when last seen on previous evening was walking up the track intoxicated.

August 6. M. Disery, walking on the track near Fort Ann, was struck by the engine and had his leg broken.

August 17. William La Mountain, while coupling cars at branch on Schenectady division, caught his foot in a frog, fell, and his foot was crushed; has since recovered.

August 25. John Turner, in attempting to get on cars while

in motion at Albany, slipped, caught his foot under the wheel and injured it.

August 29. Philip Barns, while connecting freight cars at Saratoga, caught his foot in the frog of the track, fell, was run over and died next day.

September 3. George Albertson, while walking on the track at Saratoga, was run over by the train, killing him instantly. September 5. Daniel O'Connor, brakeman on gravel train, while connecting locomotive with cars at Whitehall, was caught between them and injured so that he died on the 16th. September 17. Robert Wallace, brakeman on freight train, was hit by the bridge near Eagle Bridge and seriously injured; since recovered.

The undersigned have caused the foregoing statements to be prepared by the proper officers and agents of this company, from the books and records, and have examined them as far as practicable, and believe them to be correct.

The undersigned most respectfully reports, that he is the President of the Rensselaerville and Berne Railroad Company; that said company was organized and articles of association duly filed about two years ago, with a capital of three hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars, with ten per cent paid in; that the undersigned was at that time elected President; FRANKLIN FRISBE, Treasurer; and FRANK C. HUYCK, Secretary; that there has been no election of officers had since the organization of said company, or any steps taken toward the construction of said road.

DEAR SIR.-In reply to your circular 21st inst., the Rondout and Port Jervis Railroad Company have only made surveys, and have not as yet done any work.

The Rhinebeck and Connecticut Railroad Company are now making preliminary surveys, no other work having been done.
