The Senate bill (No. 1525, Int. No. 1105) entitled "An act to authorize the city of Newburgh to discontinue and close portions of certain public streets in said city and to convey the portions of public streets in said city discontinued and closed, and a portion of a public park located in said city," was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, an emergency calling for the passage of the same having been declared by the Governor, and it was decided in the affirmative, two-thirds of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, as follows:

The Senate bill (No. 1734, Int. No. 1430) entitled "An act to authorize the city of Ogdensburg to enter into an agreement with the Ogdensburg Street Railway Company compromising, adjusting and settling all differences between the city and said railway company as to the amount due and owing from the company to the city for certain pavements heretofore made by the city pursuant to the charter of the city and providing for the payment of the same, and to authorize and empower the city of Ogdensburg to enter into a contract with the Ogdensburg Street Railway Company fixing future paving charges and assessments against said company for pavements hereafter made and laid in the city of Ogdensburg or eliminating such paving charges and assessments," was read the third time.
