Memorial Service on 9 March 1916 for victims of Francisco (Pancho) Villa's raid at Columbus, N.M. The Chaplain addressing the people is identified as Zachary T. Vincent, but Simon M. Lutz actually conducted the service. (Millard McKinney. El Paso, Texas)

Graveside Service for Corporal Benjamin McGehee, who was killed in the Battle of Parral, Mexico, in April 1916. Though Chaplain Simon M. Lutz conducted the burial service for McGehee, it is uncertain that Lutz is standing at the head of the grave. (Millard McKinney, El Paso, Texas)
