A stone tablet in memory of Captain Keayne was placed in the First Church, corner of Marlborough and Berkeley Streets, Boston, in the summer of 1905, at the suggestion of Capt. Albert A. Folsom, by vote of the Company, and under the direction of a committee consisting of Col. Sidney M. Hedges, Capt. Edward E. Allen and Capt. Jacob Fottler. The inscription on the tablet was prepared by Captain Folsom, and was as follows:
