PUBLIC CHARITIES.

For the institution for the deaf and dumb, for the instruction and maintenance of two hundred and eighty-five State pupils for one year, pursuant to chapter five hundred and fifty-five of the laws of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, or a proportionate amount for a shorter period of time or a smaller number of pupils as shall be duly verified, fifty-one thousand three hundred dollars; and for payment of interest on the indebtedness of said institution, twelve thousand and sixty-five dollars.

For the New York institution for the blind, for the instruction and maintenance of one hundred and fifty State pupils for one year, pursuant to chapter five hundred and fifty-five of the laws of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, or a proportionate amount for a shorter period of time or a smaller number of pupils as shall be duly verified, forty-five thousand dollars.

For the State asylum for idiots, twenty-five thousand two hundred dollars.

MILITIA.

For the national guard of the State of New York, for salaries, pay of officers and privates, purchase of arms, uniforms, equipments and military supplies, and other authorized expenditures, pursuant to chapter three hundred and thirty-four of the laws of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, and chapter four hundred and seventy-seven of the laws of eighteen hundred and sixty-two, including the printing of muster rolls of volunteers, two hundred thousand dollars.
