Beattyville and Cumberland Gap Railroad.

History-Track was laid on this road in 1892 from Beattyville Junction (near Lumber Point on the Kentucky Union) to Beattyville, Ky., 5.6 miles, and from Beattyville to coal mines, 1.4 miles, total 7 miles. Business was begun under the corporate name of the Winchester and Reattyville Railroad Company, but the name has been changed to the Beattyville and Cumberland Gap Railroad Company. The road has been operated since June 1, 1893.
