An Act to permit Morris Alfred Thompson to change his name to Maurice Alfred Madley

[Assented to, 4th of March, 1919]

Preamble. WHEREAS Morris Alfred Thompson, of the city of Westmount, clerk, son of John Thompson and Mary A. Morris, his wife, both of Montreal, was born in the town

of St. Cunegonde on the 11th of July, 1895, and was baptized by the minister of Zion Congregational Church on the 1st of February, 1896; and

Whereas Henry Alfred Madley departed this life in the year 1908, and his widow has continued the gratuitous care and upbringing of the said Morris A. Thompson under the name of Maurice A. Madley, by which name he has always been known: and

Whereas Morris Alfred Thompson now desires permission and authority to continue the use of the name Maurice Alfred Madley; and

Whereas considerable confusion and inconvenience would result if he were to discontinue the use of the name Maurice Alfred Madley and adopt his baptismal name; and
