The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution, and it was decided in the affirmative, two-thirds of all the Senators present voting in favor thereof.

Mr. Mattoon, from the committee on public printing, reported in favor of the adoption of the following resolution:

Resolved, That there be printed the same as last year for each Senator, officer and reporter of the Senate of the Transactions of the State Medical Society; the State Homeopathic Medical Society, and State Eclectic Med. ical Society, and 500 copies of the State Medical Society, and State Homœopathic Medical Society, for the use of the State Homeopathic Medical Society.

Mr. Stanford, from the committee on canals, to which was referred the bill entitled "An act to authorize a tax of 14 per dollar of valuation for construction of new work upon and extraordinary repair of the canals of this State," reported in favor of the passage of the same with amendments, and said bill was committed to the committee of the whole.
