SPEAKER-Your committee on Municipal Corporations, to whom was referred Senate substitute for Senate file No. 40, a bill for an act to amend section seven hundred and twenty (720), section seven hundred and twenty-four (724), and section seven hundred and twenty-five (725) of the code, relating to powers of cities and towns, beg leave to report that they have had the same under consideration and have instructed me to report the same back to the House with the recommendation that the same do pass.

Mr. Temple, from the committee on Judiciary, submitted the following report:

MR. SPEAKER-Your committee on Judiciary to whom was referred House file No. 99, a bill for an act providing for the appointment of public examiners, defining the duties and fixing the compensation thereof, and providing for a uniform system of keeping the books of county treasurers, beg leave to report that they have had the same under consideration and have instructed me to report the same back to the House, with the recommendation that the same do pass, after having been amended as follows: By inserting the words and figures "three thousand dollars ($3,000)" in line three (3), section two (2).

By inserting the words "five hundred" and figures "500," in blank space in lines four (4) and five (5), in section eight (8).

By inserting the words "one thousand” and figures “1,000” in lines five (5) and six (6) in section eight (8).

By inserting the word and numeral "one (1),” in blank space before the word "years," and by striking out the letter "s" from the word "years" in line seven (7), section eight (8); by inserting the word and numeral "three (3)," in latter part of line seven (7); by inserting the words and numerals "one thousand (1,000)," in blank space in lines five (5) and six (6), and the words and numerals "three thousand (3,000)," in blank space in latter part of line six (6), section nine (9).

By inserting the word and numeral "one (1)," in blank, and striking out the letter "s" from the word "years" in line seven (7); and by inserting the word and numeral "five (5)," preceding the word "years," in line eight (8), section nine (9), and by inserting the words "as such examiner" after the word "receive," in line two (2), section nine (9).
