The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

The journal of Tuesday, April 8th, was read and approved. Mr. Straus introduced a bill (Int. No. 1630) entitled "An act to amend the City Home Rule Law, in relation to the enactment of Local Laws relating to parks and park property," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Straus, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the commi tee on affairs of cities, retaining place on order of third reading.

The Assembly sent for concurrence the bill (No. 1741, Rec. No. 305) entitled "An act to amend the Village Law, in relation to liens for unpaid gas bills for municipal gas plants," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on affairs of villages.

Also, a bill (No. 1603, Rec. No. 306) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to the entire net income of business corporations," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Sheridan, and by unanimous consent, said bill was substituted for Senate bill (No. 1605, Int. No. 539), now on the order of third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 1634, Rec. No. 307) entitled "An act to amend the Election Law, in relation to adjustment of voting machines, to avoid blank votes," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

Also, a bill (No. 1053, Rec. No. 308) entitled "An act to amend the Judiciary Law, in relation to compensation of stenographer of county court of Niagara county," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.
