No 1483) entitled "An act to authorize the State Superintendent of Public Works to abandon a part of the Athol Springs-Walden Cliffs State highway number fifty-four hundred and seven, crossing premises of Wanakah Land Corporation, and to accept and incorporate in the State System of highways, in lieu thereof, the section of highway built by Wanakah Land Corporation," was read the third time.

No. 1579) entitled "An act to authorize the city of Watervliet to issue bonds and temporary certificates of indebtedness or notes of said city, not to exceed the sum of thirty thousand dollars to secure funds with which to purchase lands for the widening of Nineteenth street and Broadway at their intersection, and the alteration and improvement of the Watervliet approach to the Congress street bridge," was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final passage of said bill, an emergency calling for the passage of the same having been declared by the Governor and it was decided in the affirmative, two-thirds of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, as follows:

The Senate bill (No. 1892, Int. No. 1582) entitled "An act to authorize the city of Cortland to issue bonds for extensions and improvements of its water system," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Lusk moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on affairs of cities.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The Assembly bill (No. 999, Rec. No. 209) entitled "An act to amend article nine of the Farms and Markets Law, in relation to the inspection and sale of seeds," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Straus moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on agriculture.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The Assembly returned the bill (No. 779, Assembly reprint No. 2155, Int No. 736) entitled "An act to amend the County Law, in relation to the office hours of the county comptroller in Nassau county," with a message that they have concurred in the passage of the same with the following amendments:

In the title after the words "in relation to" insert "the office hours of the" and after the word "comptroller" insert "in Nassau county".

Page 3, line 4, strike out the "," after the word "holidays" and insert in place thereof ".".

Page 3, line 5, place the following in brackets "from nine ante meridian until (five) four post meridian.".

Mr. Thompson moved that the Senate concur in said amendments. The President put the question whether the Senate would concur in said amendments, and it was decided in the affirmative.
